Steel Structures
Steel structures are the most widespread and practical type of construction. They offer clear advantages: they provide seismic resistance and can be fabricated and erected on a tight schedule. They significantly reduce material waste, make complex architectural elements possible and, last but not least, do not require a burdensome financial investment. Colass operates its own 3,500 m2 fabrication and production facility, which allows it to process and fabricate more than 180 tons of steel structures per month.
Work stages
Processing and preparing the steel for fabrication. At this stage, the steel members are cut to prepare them for fabrication.
Fabrication of the steel members that will later form the structure itself, conceived, designed and built by our specialists. At this stage, the finished steel members are sandblasted, welded, assembled and painted.
Erection of the structure prepared in the previous stages. Erection is done with bolted connections and consists of fastening all steel members together to form the final steel structure.
